James Bond fans will gather in Barnes this September for a special 20th-anniversary celebration of Casino Royale, bringing acclaimed director Martin Campbell to Olympic Studios for an event supporting UNICEF.
Campbell, the filmmaker behind both GoldenEye and Casino Royale, will appear in person on Saturday 12 September for OPERATION: ROYALE, organised by the non-profit British James Bond Fan Club, 007GB.
He holds a unique place in Bond history as the only director to introduce two different actors as 007, with Pierce Brosnan making his debut in GoldenEye in 1995 and Daniel Craig taking on the role in Casino Royale in 2006.
The Barnes event will feature an extended on-stage conversation with Campbell and an audience Q&A, before the director receives the 2026 Bond & Beyond Lifetime Achievement Award.
A special 20th-anniversary screening of Casino Royale, introduced by Campbell himself, will follow, with a Champagne and canapΓ© reception also forming part of the programme.
Alongside celebrating one of the most influential figures in modern Bond history, the event will raise funds for UNICEF through a raffle and auction featuring rare James Bond memorabilia donated by club members.
007GB says it has raised more than Β£70,000 for UNICEF during its first three years, with fundraising forming an important part of the club's events.
Richmond Magazine contributor David Lowbridge-Ellis MBE, Vice President of 007GB, said OPERATION: ROYALE is being run on a not-for-profit basis, with proceeds from the raffle and auction going directly to UNICEF and any surplus generated by the event also supporting the charity.
The event brings together film fans, collectors and members of the Bond community for a rare opportunity to hear directly from the director who helped launch two eras of 007.
OPERATION: ROYALE takes place at Olympic Studios in Barnes on Saturday 12 September 2026.
